A section of the A70 between Ayr and Cumnock is set to be closed off this weekend.
Ayrshire Roads Alliance, which maintains the non-trunk road network in the area on behalf of East Ayrshire Council, will be carrying out white lining and anti-skid work in Ochiltree.
Burnock Street is set to be closed off for approximately 15 metres towards Burnock Bridge this weekend.
White lining work will be carried out at the junction next to Mill Street and Mauchline Road.
A full road closure is set to be in place from 8am on Saturday, February 3 until 5pm on Sunday, February 4.
ARA says emergency services access will not be affected.
A diversion route is in place for eastbound traffic via the B7036, past the Barony A Frame, then via Darnlaw View in Auchinleck (the C62) and the A76, rejoining the A70 at the Dettingen roundabout.
The same diversion route will apply in reverse for traffic heading westbound from Cumnock towards Ayr.
