A Cumnock school is set to host a first celebratory evening in honour of the man its named after.
The Robert Burns Academy (RBA) will host a Burns Supper in celebration of Scotland's bard.
Having lived in Mauchline for a portion of his life, Robert Burns is still annually celebrated across Ayrshire and the rest of the world.

To honour this, RBA will be holding the evening for pupils, parents, carers and extended family members.
Taking place on Thursday, February 8, tickets cost £6 for anyone aged 16 and over, and £4 for anyone under 16.
They can be purchased on the TicketSource website.

An RBA representative said: "Staff and students at The Robert Burns Academy are very excited, as they look forward to their first Burns Supper.
"They are in the middle of rehearsals for speeches: The Immortal Memory; Toast tae The Lassies and their Toast tae The Laddies and other entertainment.
"This milestone of events takes place at The Robert Burns Academy, on Thursday, 8th February and starts at 6pm.
"Tickets are available on Ticketsource and open to Robert Burns Academy, parents, carers and extended family members.
"A richt guid welcome awaits, as we support our talented young people."
