Plans have been lodged to build three new homes within the Ballochmyle estate.
Developers, Archiplan Glasgow, have submitted the plans on behalf of their applicant, Mr Ahmed.
The application says that this is a refreshed resubmission following to refusal of a previous application, which was refused partly due to the scale, massing, proportions and detailing of the proposed homes.
Three incredible seven-bedroom homes are part of the latest plans.
In the latest application, it's said that the scale and massing has now been addressed and the overall habitable area of each house is now 4832 sq ft, which is in line with the existing houses in the Ballochmyle estate.
The plans hope to adopt an access road included in Milestone Development plans, to build more homes on the site.
Initially, there had been plans to build 110 homes in the Ballochmyle estate.
However, due to the previous developer being unable to complete work, the remaining areas were put up for sale and purchased by Milestone Development in 2019.
Milestone Development have started plans to further expand their homes in the site.
A planning statement attached to Mr Ahmed's plans says: "These houses are for himself [Mr Ahmed] and his family to live in, and not for resale.
"Within the Mauchline/Catrine area, Mr Ahmed and his family are a very large employer and highly thought of in this area.
"The proposed development area is secluded by trees in excess of 50ft on all sides. The plot is to be accessed by a new road leading off the Milestone Developments development."
It adds: "These proposed Villas will not be able to be seen from the main roads as they are situated in a secluded setting.
"No trees are being proposed to be altered and all trees will remain as existing. The existing walkway to the rear of this plot will remain unaltered.
"Mr Ahmed and his family are more than wiling to make such adjustments to this application should these be necessary as their goal is to reside in the area and live close to their businesses.
"We would ask for your careful consideration of this application."
An initial determination deadline for the plans has been set for Friday, March 15.
