A POPULAR hotel near New Cumnock is to close to the public for two days next week.

The owners of the Lochside House Hotel, Lodges and Spa say the venue will be shut for a private event during the week between Christmas and New Year.

Lochside, owned by the RAD Hotel Group, will be closed to the public on Thursday, December 28 and Friday, December 29.

It will then re-open on Saturday, December 30.

A RAD spokesperson said: "Lochside House Hotel, Lodges and Spa will be closed to the public on Thursday, December 28 and Friday, December 29 due to a private event.

The hotel will reopen to the public on Saturday, December 30, in time for our New Year’s events and celebrations.

"Whilst Lochside’s doors may be temporarily closed, our sister hotels are still open for business and available for any reservations during this time.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this closure may cause and look forward to welcoming all of our valued customers very soon."
