A yellow weather warning is in place for across Ayrshire this week that could see winds as strong as 50mph.
The Met Office issue the warning for high winds, with people being urged to be cautious when travelling.
The warning is in place for Thursday, December 21 from between midnight and 9pm.
According to the warning, there is a slight chance of some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs.
The whole of Scotland is being affected by this warning, which is currently in place for 24 hours from midnight to midnight on Thursday.
Other parts of the UK could face 80mph winds throughout the course of the day.
