Pupils at The Robert Burns Academy in Cumnock recently took part in some vital training at the school.
A group of S3 pupils received an awareness session on bystander CPR and how to use a defibrillator.
Delivered by a team of volunteers from St John Scotland, around 40 pupils benefitted from learning what to do in an emergency situation and how to be able to use one of the life-saving machines.

Life saving defibrillators are in more than 30 towns and villages across East Ayrshire - including eight in Cumnock.
East Ayrshire Council has launched a Community Defibrillator Initiative to help community groups obtain this life-saving equipment.
In partnership with donating companies who hold term contracts with the local authority, EAC has launched the initiative to help provide eligible community groups, clubs and organisations with access to a defibrillator who would otherwise be unable to afford this equipment.
More information can be found on the East Ayrshire Council website.
