A SORN man has been ordered to stay away from his ex-partner for a year after he admitted repeatedly harassing her over a period of nine months.
Stuart Mabon, 26, also asked others to contact the woman on his behalf - despite knowing she didn't want to hear from him.
Mabon was handed a fine and a non-harassment order after he pleaded guilty to engaging in a course of behaviour which was abusive of a partner or ex-partner between July 1, 2022 and February 27 this year.
The offence was committed at an address in Galston, at Mabon's home address in Woodlands Road in Sorn, and elsewhere.
The 26-year-old admitted repeatedly and persistently contacting and messaging his ex-partner through the internet and other electronic messaging services.
Court papers further described how Mabon would attempt to control whom she would be in contact with and attend her address without invitation.
The charge added that Mabon would also repeatedly ask others to contact her on his behalf, even though he knew she did not wish to communicate with him.
Following his guilty plea at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court, Mabon was ordered to pay a fine of £320; the non-harassment order will remain in place until December 2024.
