A CUMNOCK business has announced plans to move to new premises in the town.
Cumnock Nails, which has been a popular fixture on Glaisnock Street since opening in March 2022, will take over a vacant shop unit further along the road.
The nail salon will be moving into what was once the Pet Station store, just a few doors along on Glaisnock Street.
The shop had been a pet supply store for a number of years, but closed down during the pandemic.
Cumnock Nails have announced they will take over the new store from Monday, November 27, with new signage being placed on the new store.
An application had been lodged with East Ayrshire Council back in September for external alterations to the buildings at 75-79 Glaisnock Street.
The new Cumnock Nails store is set to be in 77 Glaisnock Street.
The plans were submitted by Andrew Fisher of i10 Design on behalf of Ayrshire Transport Limited, according to council documents.
Extensive interior and exterior work has also been carried out on the former Semi Chem store at 79 Glaisnock Street.
However, no details of what the future holds for that building have been released.
It has been empty since the Semi Chem store was once of 20 to be closed in the UK in April 2021, due to pressures brought on by the pandemic.
