A popular trail near Loch Doon has been given a new look thanks to a handy group of woodland workers.
Members of the East Ayrshire Woodlands Project team have been hard at work to improve the Ness Glen trail at the popular spot.
They have replaced several boardwalk platforms along the route.
Non-slip strips are also being added to the boards to reduce the risk of accidents, as the walk is popular all year round.
The team battle against the elements and the increasingly long distance they had to transport the materials, but they've done a great job.

The trail along the River Doon starts and finishes at the Loch Doon dam, with parking available at the Roundhouse Cafe, and includes small bridges, seating areas and resting spots to ease the occasionally steep climbs.
The circular route takes walkers to a spot below the site of the former Scottish Dark Sky Observatory on the Craigengillan estate, before returning to the dam and car park.
