Greggs bosses have not ruled out the possibility of a new store popping up in one of the area's supermarkets.

The popular bakery chain has had stores opening within Tesco supermarkets across Ayrshire, with Ayr's Tesco becoming the latest addition.

Ayr's supermarket will have a Greggs store "within weeks" according to Greggs representatives.

Another Greggs location will soon be coming to the Bellfield Interchange, with no official opening dates being set for either, yet.

While no plans are currently in place for Greggs store at Auchinleck's Tesco, officials have not ruled out the possibility in the future.

A Greggs spokesperson said: “Greggs is always looking into new shop locations, while we are unable to confirm anything at the moment, we will be sure to share any information in due course.”
