A popular pub and restaurant in Cumnock is available for lease, after it recently announced it would be going through a change of ownership.

The current owner at The Thistle Inn on Glaisnock Road announced back in September that, after 13 months of running the business, it will be changing ownership.

The Cumnock eatery was transformed last August after ownership was changed.

A 'To Let' sign had also been erected on the outside of the building.

Now the pub and restaurant has appeared for let on the Love Your Pub website.

According to the website's details, The Thistle is a detached pub with four letting rooms and also has a detached, three bedroom bungalow situated to the rear of the pub.

An annual renting cost for the pub has been set at £42,000, with renting steps available.

The listing adds: "We are looking for and experienced food licensee (s), who knows their way around the kitchen and who’s not be afraid to get involved in community commitments.

"The Thistle Inn have won best garden for several years so the new operator would need to be able to maintain the gardens."
