A Cumnock housing support company have recently been recognised for their effective work within the community.
Shire Housing Association were presented with the Community Award at the 2023 Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
Simon Roberts, Shire’s Chair, said: “It is wonderful for Shire to be recognised for its work with our communities.
"The board is committed to the Association investing in this area and the staff do a great job in delivering our vision."
The company has a business plan built around the idea of 'Great Homes, Great People, Vibrant Communities'. Staff at Shire say they are committed to being more than just a landlord in the 16 communities they serve across East Ayrshire.
As well as investing staff resource to support and help communities with everything from helping provide transport to events to financial inclusion advice, Shire has been successful in bringing in over £1million of grant funding into the area in the last three years.
