MSP for Carrick, Cumnock, and Doon Valley, Elena Whitham sent the girls a letter of congratulations, and wished them the best of luck moving forward.
The letter reads: "I am writing to congratulate you both on being accepted to play for the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland.
"I am sure this is the result of hard work and dedication. You should be very proud of yourselves for this enormous achievement.
"I wish you the very best of luck for your time with the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland and I trust you will thoroughly enjoy yourselves. I look forward to following your success."
The girls had to submit a 10-minute solo video performance to pass the first round of auditions, before being selected to do an in-person audition at the National Piping Centre in Glasgow.
There, they had to perform, join in group lessons, and were interviewed by the leaders of the band.
