There's still time to get involved in a popular music festival near Sanquhar this weekend, with a chart-topping band featuring as part of the full line-up.

The 2023 Music at the Multiverse takes place at the popular Crawick Multiverse on September 2 and 3, from 12pm until 7pm.

As one of Scotland’s most spectacular outdoor venues set within the rolling hills of the Nithsdale Valley, the family-friendly festival has secured plenty of big names to take centre stage.

There's still plenty of time to get your tickets for the great event.

Scouting For Girls, whose debut album topped the UK charts in 2008 and whose single This Ain't A Love Song reached number one two years later, are the Sunday headliners, with other main stage acts including Celtic trad-rockers Skerryvore; Glasgow-based indie rock band Shambolics; and Scottish rock legends Big Country.

There will be a fully licensed bar available, and a choice of locally-produced food from The Tin Van Pizza, Knockenhair Hospitality and Sweet Sadie’s Ice Cream and Desserts.

A private coach service will also run between Dumfries and Crawick on both Saturday and Sunday.

Sharon Glendinning, Crawick Multiverse general manager, said: “We are delighted to build on the success of last year and to have such an amazing line-up of popular well-known acts and home-grown talent at our third Music at the Multiverse festival.

"As well as enjoying two days of live entertainment, visitors can also take time to explore and discover Crawick Multiverse and all that it has to offer.

"With giant spiral mounds representing colliding galaxies, a huge avenue of standing stones and other spectacular features, it is a unique festival venue and a great place to spend the weekend.”
