A Patna woman is hosting a garden party this weekend to raise funds for a kidney care charity.
Lynn McIllwrick, 57, who suffers from kidney problems herself, will be holding the event on Sunday, August 13.
All the money raised will go to Kidney Care UK.
Lynn said: "I am a kidney patient and have suffered from frequent infections, to the point where I am now allergic to antibiotics and have had sepsis on a few occasions.
"I am doing this to raise funds and thank Kidney Care UK, who have been so helpful to me.
"Councillor Elaine Stewart has kindly agreed to come along to open the party.
"There will be food - I do a lot of home baking and there will be lasagne too.
"We have a raffle, and a 'guess the weight of the jar of jelly beans' competition. The jellybeans represent the kidney.
"Build a Bear have donated an adventure bear, and I am putting gazebos up in the garden for the party.
"Everyone is welcome to come along and help uis raise funds for a vital charity."
Sunday's event takes place at Lynn's home at 16 Dallowie Road, Patna from 1pm until 5pm and everyone is welcome to come along and join in the fun.
Kidney Care UK offers advice, support, grants and other forms of financial assistance assistance to thousands of kidney patients and their families every year.
