An Ayrshire man will take an almost unbelievable challenge in aid of Ayrshire Hospice on Friday (August 4).
Martin Boyle will combine a 10-kilometre swim of Loch Doon with a 65km run along the entire length of the River Ayr, from its source at Glenbuck Loch all the way to the coast, for Ayrshire Hospice - with the aim of raising £7,500.
Having run two marathons in one day for the charity last year, Martin went one step further this year.
He will tackle a 10km swim of Loch Doon, starting at around 7am, before heading across East Ayrshire to start a 65km run of the River Ayr Way, beginning near Glenbuck.
Martin has challenged himself to complete the swim in around four hours, and the run within seven hours.
He's been given time away from touring Europe as a model to be able to focus his time on training for this incredible 75km challenge.
