Cumnock-based company, The Wee House Group recently celebrated a huge milestone of 10 years in business.
Based near the Caponacre industrial estate in the town, the company marked the occasion with a family-friendly birthday bash at its head office, with staff, sub-contractors and their extended families.
Family members and friends were also given the opportunity to tour the manufacturing centre.
The company was founded in 2013 by Jennifer Higgins and her father, Ian Hope, who shared a vision to make custom build accessible anywhere in the UK.
Fast forward 10 years and the company now has a workforce of over 70 direct employees working from its 120,000sq ft factory at Caponacre.
It also has multiple contracts, including delivering 101 affordable modular homes in Shortlees, Kilmarnock for Cunninghame Housing Association.
The Wee House Group comprises The Wee House Company, Connect Modular and Hope South West, and provides a full service from concept design including statutory consents, to the manufacturing of new homes and their completion on-site, to a variety of clients, from private individuals to local authorities and housing developers.
Celebrating the day and what's to come for the company, acting chief executive officer, Richard Reid, said: “We’re delighted to be able to celebrate our 10 years in business with our staff and their families – a fantastic day was had by all.
"We would like to thank everyone who has supported the business over the last decade - we have come a long way since we started out and we’re excited to see what the next ten years have in store, sharing the journey with our team and those who join us along the way.”
The Wee House Group says it is confidently looking forward to continued growth over the next 10 years and the many exciting opportunities for volumetric modular construction.
