A CENTURY and a half of football in Mauchline is set to be celebrated at a special event in the town this Saturday.
Two football matches are planned for Saturday, July 1, followed by a sold-out evening event sharing football memories at the Mauchline Kilmarnock Supporters Club.
The first football match, between Mauchline 2010 boys and Caledonian 2010, kicks off at 11am, before Mauchline United AFC – modern-day successors of the original Mauchline FC, founded in 1873 – take on a Scotland over-50s select at 2pm.
