A CUMNOCK business's plans to expand by building a new site in Mauchline have earned the company praise in the Scottish Parliament.
As revealed by the Chronicle last month, Compliance LEV, currently based in Skares, is expected to complete its new Mauchline facility in July.
The new site will be the hub of UK operations for the company, which specialises in local exhaust ventilation systems.
The Mauchline expansion is expected to lead to the creation of seven new jobs and to see the firm's total workforce increase to 15 people.
A motion laid down at Holyrood by South Scotland Conservative MSP Sharon Dowey asks that the Parliament welcomes the news, "considers this to be a welcome boost to the East Ayrshire town, and wishes all at Compliance LEV well for the company's future success."
As of Tuesday morning, Ms Dowey's motion had attracted the support of 21 MSP - 19 Conservatives, plus one each from the SNP and Labour, Colin Beattie and Paul Sweeney respectively.
