A yellow weather warning has been issues for across Ayrshire this evening.
The Met Office sent out the warning for thunderstorms right across the area, urging people to remain vigilant.
Some flooding could be expected in areas, with the warning in place from 5-11pm today.
Damage to some buildings is also possible due to potential thunder and lightening.
The warning adds: "There is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus.
"Delays to train services are possible.
"Some short term loss of power and other services is likely."
The Met Office has a section of advice on how people can remain safe in these weather conditions.
