An Ayrshire man has bagged himself a top lottery prize.
The mystery EuroMillions winner, known only as 'Mr W from Ayrshire', has scooped a whopping £1,000,000 prize in the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker game.
The winning ticket was drawn on Tuesday, April 4.
The lucky winner plans to buy a new car and treats for his family.
An Ayrshire local, Mr W played via the National Lottery app, and has become one of over eight million players that win each week on The National Lottery’s range of games.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said, “What incredible news for Mr. W for winning this fantastic prize.
"He has become a million pounds richer overnight and can now treat his family and buy a new car.”
Thanks to National Lottery players, £30 million is generated each week for National Lottery-funded projects.
This money helps support everything from the local charity making a difference where you live through to helping our nations' athletes win medals at last summer’s Commonwealth Games.
To date, more than £47bn has been raised for National Lottery Good Causes, with more than 670,000 individual grants awarded.
