Work will be taking place on a popular shortcut road near Auchinleck, with closures set to be put in place during May.
The C50 road, or the 'five-mile cut', as it's locally known by some, running from the Barony Road to the A76, will be closed on occasions for up to a week for maintenance work to take place.
The Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA) says restrictions will be in place for traffic in both directions close to the one-way passing place over the railway bridge.

Work will begin on the road at 11pm on Saturday, May 6, and ARA says the aim is to be completed by 8am on Saturday, May 13.
However, the work has a maximum potential duration of 18 months.
It's expected that the road will be closed between 11pm and 8am, and open as normal outside those times.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions, but ARA says the order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained.
A signposted alternative route will direct drivers via the A76, Darnlaw View, B7036 Barony Road and vice versa.
