A building in New Cumnock is set to go up at auction this week - despite going on fire less than a month ago.
The derelict building, on the corner of Castle and Pathhead, went up in flames at the end of March, which caused extensive damage to the interior of the building, as well as destroying the roof.
Formerly the old bank building, it will be included for sale this Thursday, April 20, by Future Property Auctions, with apparent potential to turn it into a half-a-million-pound property.

The listing for the building on the Rightmove website says that the fire damage means that the building will require a complete renovation.
With the potential for five bedrooms, the guide price for the building is £52,000.
The description adds that there is "opportunity to re-develop to create a stunning home with potential value of over £500,000 given the impressive size and sought after location."
It adds that buyers could transform it into five flats, subject to planning approval.
The timed auction for the building takes places between 10am-3pm.
