The Scottish Environmental Protections Agency (SEPA) has issued a flood warning for across Ayrshire tonight.
Covering the three Ayrshire regions, the warning is in place between tonight and tomorrow morning.
Disruption to traffic, roads and low-lying land is possible, according to SEPA.
The warning reads: "A period of heavy rain is forecast to affect the area on Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning which brings a risk of flooding from surface water and rivers.
"Impacts may include flooding to low-lying land and roads, disruption to travel and localised property flooding.
"Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property.
"Advice and information is also available through Floodline on 0345 9881188."
The Met Office has also issues a yellow warning for rain from between 3pm today into tomorrow morning
People are being asked to remain vigilant in the heavy weather conditions.
