A man was caught riding a moped through Auchinleck while high on drugs - and was also banned from driving at the time.
William Reynolds, 53, pleaded guilty to riding the moped through Heathfield Road, Well road, Church Street and Lambfair Gardens while unfit through drink or drugs.
He was also found to be disqualified and without insurance when he was caught by cops on March 26 last year.
He committed the offences while he was the subject of a bail order granted at Ayr Sheriff Court.
Defence solicitor Robert Logan told a hearing at the same court last week: "He had taken 'street Valium' so has not got a tremendous recollection."
However, Mr Logan said his client did not dispute that he had chosen to ride the "short distance".
Sheriff Siobhan Connolly placed Reynolds, of Somerville Street, Catrine, under supervision for 18 months as part of a community payback order.
He will also have to complete 80 hours of unpaid work.
