Roadworks between Cumnock and New Cumnock are set to come an end tonight, according to road operators, Amey.
The firm's workers had been completing essential drainage renewal work along the A76 from the north side of New Cumnock until the Dettingen roundabout outside of Cumnock.
Work began on Wednesday, March 8, and is set to be complete by 6am tomorrow morning (March 31).
Three-way and four-way lights have been used for a maximum of two nights each on the Dettingen, Skerrington and Pathhead roundabouts, but no actual work was taking place on any of the roundabouts themselves.
Amey says this scheme is set to benefit around 6,400 vehicles using this route each day, by improving drainage on the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
