Auchinleck's newest café has officially opened its doors.
Sammi's Takeaway Cakeaway started its journey on the Main Street, opening up at 6am on Monday, February 13.
Run by 20-year-old Sammi Cornelius, the shop will be the perfect stop for early morning commuters, due to the shop's ideal location near Auchinleck train station.
Sammi has tapped into this idea, with the shop being open from 6am Monday-Friday and 7am on a Saturday.
Closing times vary - from 5pm on a Monday, Thursday and Friday, 7pm on a Tuesday, 4.30pm on a Wednesday and 4pm on a Saturday.
Having been interested in baking since her days as a pupil at Auchinleck Academy, Sammi says she is thrilled to be able to dive into her dream at such a young age.
Sammi said: "We want to make it a place where people can stop in on their way for the early train, so that's why we'll be opening early.
"I know what it can be like running late for a train and you've not had the chance to prepare your lunch.
"I've always baked. That's been my go-to for stress relief and things like that.
"I'm so grateful to have been given this opportunity at a young age. I've been at college for three or four years doing the hospitality side of things, and I always wanted to pursue this.
"When I saw this shop up for rent it was just something I had to do."
Sammi had been working in the Ochiltree Community Hub, perfecting her own baking techniques, before taking over her new store.
Sammi's sweet treats will also be available in the café, as well as fresh soup and hot foods.
