A Cumnock worker was taken to hospital on Monday, February 6 after an incident at a workplace in the town.
The incident allegedly happened at Emergency One, within Caponacre Industrial Estate at around 2pm.
Emergency services attended the scene after it is believed a male worker was inured when moving part of the plastic body of a fire engine.
An air ambulance was sent out to the scene, as well as the Scottish Ambulance Service's trauma team.
However, the injured worker was taken to Crosshouse Hospital via ambulance, with his condition currently unknown.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 1420hrs to attend an incident at Caponacre Industrial Estate, Cumnock.
"We dispatched an ambulance, the trauma team and an air ambulance to the scene, and the patient was transported by road to University Hospital Crosshouse.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson adde: "Around 2.35pm on Monday, 6 February, police were called to assist other services at premises on Caponacre Road.
"A man was taken by Ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital."
