MANY grown-ups begin the New Year determined to eat more healthy food – and pupils at Lochnorris Primary School are getting into exactly the same mindset.
The first few weeks of the new term are all about healthy eating for several classes at Lochnorris, with youngsters in P1/2 drawing healthy lunches and dinners to learn more about the foods that are better for our bodies and our minds.
In P4 meanwhile, it was all about the real thing as pupils in P4F held a food tasting session and made a record of their findings – while also picking up some useful tips on how to write instructions for food preparation.
P4M learned all about how food tickles our tastebuds, literally, by trying a range of sweet, sour, bitter and salty foods as part of their class topic – with some of the items on the menu going down better with the pupils than others!
