Roadworks along Auchinleck's Mauchline Road are set to be removed this weekend.
The works are being carried out by Scottish Water to repair a burst pipe in the area.
Those living along this road have been experiencing water issues since before the new year, believed to be a side-effect from the freezing temperatures a short time before.
Residents had contacted Scottish Water about the issues, as they were assured the problems would be looked into.
After some respite with the issues for some, more problems arose last week, with Scottish Water then sending engineers to identify and solve the issue.

Three-way lights were set up coming into Auchinleck from the Templeton Roundabout and headin along to Darnlaw View.
However, they are set to be removed by this weekend.
Work started on January 10 and were expected to take five days to complete
This means they should be finished by this Sunday (January 15), assuming the works have not been pushed back due to the weather.
No information about water supply issues can be found on the Scottish Water website.
