A popular East Ayrshire eatery has gone on the market for just below half a million pounds.
The Sorn Inn has been listed on Rightmove with a price tag of £495,000.
Popular with the locals, as well as those further afield, the restaurant announced in November that it would be 'hibernating' during winter and would be reopening in the spring.
However, it now looks like the closure may become a more permanent fixture, with new buyers being sought for the restaurant and guest rooms, as the current owners look to seel due to the cost of living.
Some people in the area were left unhappy with the "lack of communication" from owners surrounding the then-temporary closure, as people had booked up for Christmas dinners and had no further communication that their bookings had been cancelled.
New owners had taken over the Sorn Inn back at the end of 2020 and had the venue thriving again after the difficulties of the pandemic.
However, now it appears as though new proprietors are needed to take it forward.
The propert description reads: "The Sorn Inn comprises of a two storey traditional stone built property with two storey and single storey extensions all under a pitched slate roof.
"Internally, the premises have been designed and fitted to an extremely high standard comprising reception area, main dining area which provides a comfortable 45 covers, and a public bar that is trading as a smokehouse.
"There are two recently refurbished letting flats with separate entrance to both. Both flats have recently been designed and fitted to the highest standard and offer comfortable accommodation to the discerning traveller."
