AN AFTERNOON of free family fun is in store today (Thursday, October 20) as the Netherthird Community Garden gets set to host its autumn open day.
Children can bring their parents along and make fairy and wizard wands as well as joining a trail around the garden's nature walk, with a theme of dinosaurs and fairies, and tie a ribbon on the trees for the garden's resident fairies.
A free lunch will be provided for children, and there will be craft activities thorughout the afternoon provided by the Positive Destinations bus from WG13 in Kilmarnock.
The event at the garden, off Craigens Road, runs from 1-3pm and all are welcome.
In a social media post Margaret Campbell from the community garden team said: "Please wrap up and come along and enjoy the fun."
