Horse is an iconic and unique Scottish singer/songwriter from Fife, her voice described as ‘a finely honed instrument’, and possessing a ‘breath-taking stagecraft’. Her music is both moving and uplifting; audiences are totally absorbed where ever she performs in the world.
With a successful career expanding over three decades, she has opened and toured with various international artists, including Tina Turner, BB King, Bryan Ferry, Burt Bacarach. One of her best known songs Careful, was covered by Will Young.
Her first record deal was with EMI/Capitol circa 1990. To date, she has released nine albums including The Same Sky and God’s Home Movie. God’s Home Movie on the MCA/Universal label. She is working on her 7th studio album, now slated for release autumn 2023 on her own label Randan.
Horse is an ambassador for Nordoff Robbins music charity, Patron for Switchboard LGBTQ+ and HVP Happy Valley pride.
She has just finished her UK tour celebrating the 30th (32nd) of her first album the same sky. Talking about her forthcoming return to the HAC, where she has recently done an acoustic version of the show Horse said: “I’m looking forward to sharing stories from early writing in my hometown, (writing and singing almost certainly saved me), my first live TV performance on the legendary Tube TV show hosted Jools Holland and Paula Yates, and touring with legends like Tina Turner, just to mention just a few things.”
