Cumnock’s Millar Electrics have recently said a fitting goodbye to five company stalwarts.
The handful of long-serving electricians had a combined 157 years of of service to the company.
Jim Millar, one of the company’s main directors, and employees Tommy Morton, Tom Millar, John Bone and Hugh McCartney all have retired before and returned during a difficult COVID period, when the business continued to operate and serve the community safely.
Jim Millar and his wife Elizabeth McCreadie are now semi-retired and have passed operations to four other long-serving staff members within the company, who will ensure the same high standards of workmanship and quality that Jim always maintained.
Jim and Elizabeth would like to thank the businesses and the people of Cumnock and surrounding areas for their support over the years, and to remind everyone the company is still operating with local employees, and will be here to help for many years more to come.
