A STATUE to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee was unveiled at Cumnock Town Hall on Saturday (May 28).
Commissioned by Cumnock Community Council (CCC), the statue was sculptured by by local craftsman, Greig Fades of Faddes Welding and Fabrications Limited.
Local councillors Neill Watts and Jim McMahon were at the unveiling on behalf of East Ayrshire Council.
Also in attendance was Jacqui Todd, who had helped with the funding process earlier in the year.
The final site of the sculpture has yet to be decided.
Cumnock Community Council would like to thank Cllr McMahon for all his help in making the project possible, as well as Cllr Watts, who was secretary of the Community Council prior to the recent local elections.
CCC are actively looking for new members to help make the town vibrant and to help make a difference.
