EAST Ayrshire has shown 11.1 per cent growth in house prices over the last year.
Latest figures show the average house price in the area in March was just £153, 715 - putting the area 30th in the list of all 32 Scottish Councils - one place higher than in 2021
The average house price in Scotland is currently £218,992, with Edinburgh, as usual topping the list with an average price of £333, 662.
South Ayrshire’s prices rose from an average of £187,245 in 2021.
And the region could have been higher up the table, but for a slight price drop between February and March this year.
But things got worse for North Ayrshire, who recorded a meagre 1.7 per cent growth in the year.
There, latest figures showed the average house price in the area in March was just £150,140 - leaving North Ayrshire bottom of the list of all 32 Scottish Councils.
Other regions saw prices rocket - with 15.9 per cent for Fife and 15.3 per cent for Argyll and Bute.
The figures were provided by chartered surveyors Walker Fraser Steele based on available details between March 2021 and March
2022.
