Catrine Show officially returned last weekend for the first time since 2019.
Hundreds turned up on what was an amazing day for everyone involved, and one that was a relief.
The 133rd show, held on Saturday, exhibited cattle, sheep, show classes, dog shows, baking, and much more. It is one of the oldest recorded village shows in the whole of Scotland.
Last year, the show took on a virtual form, with Covid restrictions still prohibiting in-person events.
Helpers from Mauchline Young Farmers helped out with supporting the show and providing a brilliant bar and some great kids entertainment on the day.
The partnership between the YF Club and the Show is just brilliant and there is a hope that it will continue for years to come.
Show secretary, Julie Clark believes the success and longevity of the show comes from the special place it now holds in the community’s heart, as well as the flexibility for more than just farmers being able to enjoy the day now.
