THE New Cumnock Development Trust (NCDT) has begun its renovation of the former Trotters building.
Thanks to £24,750 worth of National Lottery cash from the Scottish Land Fund, the NCDT plans to turn the building into a re-use and repair hub, with new training and apprenticeships opportunities.
Work has started, with the removal and replacement of the external boarding on the building.
Local company Jim Lorimer Joinery helped the group with the work.
It is hoped that the whole process will take around three years to complete.
