The Afton Eagles Explorer Scouts from New Cumnock recently joined over 500 other Explorer Scouts from all over Scotland at a camp at Templars Park in Aberdeen.
The Scouts had a fantastic weekend taking part in many outdoor activities despite the wintry conditions that they encountered.
Explorer Scout leader Iain Burgoyne said: “The Explorers would like to thank the committee of New Cumnock Community Council and the small wind farm grants for helping towards the costs and making this sort of training camp possible.
“Without these grants we would not be able to attend.
“A huge thanks to all concerned.”
