Loch Doon's most famous residents have successfully produced their first egg of the year.
The pair, Angel and Frankie, only arrived at their nest on the banks of the loch earlier this month, but they’ve quickly got down to business.
Angel laid the first egg some time on Tuesday morning (April 19).
Angel and Frankie will take it in turns keeping the eggs warm atop the eyrie.
The Roundhouse Café at the loch was awarded a grant of £7,000 earlier this year to allow visitors to watch the loch’s osprey family close-up in their nest.
People come from all over Ayrshire and beyond to get a glimpse of the famous birds.
Café owner Brian Meechan said previously: “The ospreys are a big deal because there’s only about 350 pairs of them in the whole of the country, so for people to have them on their doorstep is a big deal.
“People travel all over to see ospreys so I think the fact we have them here means it is important for us to do a good job in showing them off to people in any way we can."
