Auchinleck Community Shed committee members had a good old catch up recently to celebrate their National Lottery funding success - and look ahead to 2022.
Last week, the Chronicle reported how the Community Shed, which aims to combat isolation and mental health issues by being in the great outdoors, had been awarded more than £2,000 in funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.
The Shed will use their funding to install solar panels and a wind turbine to reduce their carbon footprint and make the group sustainable in the longer term.
Volunteers are also now urging residents to vote for the Shed in Tesco, Auchinleck from the first week of January so they can revamp their derelict deep beds.
A spokesperson said: “This will make a huge difference to us. Watch how things develop over the coming months. A big thank you to everyone involved and of course, The National Lottery for the funding. A guid new year to everybody when it comes.”
