Sanquhar Karate Club awarded deserving students with their new belts this week.
Senseis Stephen and Greg made their 2nd Dan for their dedication and continued teaching and learning.
Sophie and Allan received second bar on brown belt which is a great achievement.
Young Riley Biggar passed his green belt and many other youngsters were awarded with yellow and orange belts along with two new members, Jonathan and Elliot who have both quickly progressed to their Yellow belts.
Dougie Sharpe was also graded to his blue belt just four years after having a quintuple heart bypass.
A spokesperson for the club told the Chronicle: “We all owe a massive thanks to Morton Gemmel for his continued dedication to the club and to everyone who continues to help out, especially our visiting Dan Grades from Ayrshire.”
