Appeal: Community gets in The Zone for Christmas as toy donations flood in
The Zone Initiative, a Dalmellington-based project delivering childcare, youth, training and employment services, has been bowled over by donations to its Christmas toy appeal.
A spokesperson said: “We are overwhelmed by the generosity of the local community. Toys have been flooding in including money from an elderly couple who wanted to help children at Christmas rather than buy themselves presents and £1,000 from a local business.
“We cannot thank people enough, particularly Boots the chemist in always supporting us collecting food and toys for the appeal.”
