A GROUP of girls from a dance school in Cumnock have competed in their first festival since the pandemic hit – and they put in quite the performance.
The competitive team from KGstarDance in Cumnock headed to The Aviemore Championships at the end of October to take part in a weekend full of dancing, laughter, memories and fun, and managed to bag themselves a few awards in the process.

Aimee Lorimer was crowned Double U10 Intermediate Aviemore Champion 2021 and Leigha Eaglesham took home Double Youth Intermediate Aviemore Champion 2021.
Eilidh Karimlar also retired from freestyle.
She was the winner of the Ken Dobson Aviemore Scholarship in 2019 and was able to hand it over to the next winner before retiring.
She was hugely successful in freestyle, winning many major titles, and will be missed.
