A MAUCHLINE farmer has won out in a national dairy cattle dressing competition – much to the pride of his fellow club members.
On Sunday, November 7, the best young farmer cattle dressers from across the country gathered to compete at the national dairy cattle dressing competition.
Cattle dressing involves preparing, washing and clipping the cow and it can be a career that can take you across the world.
On the day, it was Cameron McGregor, Chairman of Mauchline Young Farmers Club, that came up trumps, alongside his holder, Kerr Sloan.
Cameron said: “ I am delighted to have won this competition, I am very thankful for all the support I have received over the years.
“It’s great to see a traditional event like this to be so well supported at local and national level.”
David and Tom Howat were placed third in the seniors and Adam and Abbie Montgomerie came third in the juniors.
