Children in Auchinleck were treated to a day full of fresh, free goodies as well as hilarity and commotion with friends at a special event last month, and it seems that they are still reeling.
The Harvest Festival took place on Tuesday, October 12 and was attended by youngsters who had signed up for that particular day of the Sticky Fingers October Holidays sessions.
The event took place at The Boswell Centre and was part of a hoard of other activities arranged for school-breakers to enjoy.
Thanks was sent to the long list of organisations that donated to the Centre’s Harvest Table such as Spittals Fruit & Veg Merchant, Tesco, Aldi, Lainshaw Farm Eggs, Pathhead Bakery and Ayrshire Food Hub.
There was also a fantastic harvest centrepiece display from the community garden at The Knowe.
Each child took home a bag that they had decorated and filled with the bounty of the ‘harvest’ to take home to their grateful parents.
