A SCHOOLGIRL from Drongan has raised even more money for a veteran’s mental health charity by painting bricks in colourful designs.
Following on from her efforts during the Summer holidays, 10-year-old Kayla Wightman has now doubled her initial fundraising total of £300 to £600 which will be donated to Combat Stress in memory of her great-grandfather who was a prisoner of war.
Mum Alma said: “She has stopped as it’s hard to keep the bricks dry for painting and drying the varnish as it’s too smelly for indoors.”
