Residents of Mauchline and Sorn have organised various garden tea parties over the last few weeks to raise money for the livestream provision of both of their churches.
Over three sunny days, organisers enjoyed good company in beautiful surroundings, with a huge thanks for the fundraising hospitality going to Keith, Jean and many helpers.
To date, £249.10 has been raised towards the church livestream provision through the garden teas.
Minister Allan Vint said: “We are fundraising to install livestream equipment so that those who can’t come to church and those distant from us can enjoy the services.
“We also hope to use this facility to livestream baptisms, weddings and funerals to family not able to be present. We hope that special events and concerts could likewise be shown via our Facebook and YouTube channels.
“The garden tea hosted by Keith and Jean (with the help of friends) has raised almost £300 towards our target of £4,000. We hope this facility when installed will benefit all the community.”
