A GHOSTLY group based in Auchinleck are on a mission to raise money for a number of important causes.
Paranormal Footprints, made up of co-founders Sam and Shelley from Auchinleck, Johnny from Drongan and Sharon from Kirkconnel, are a group of paranormal investigators who regularly visit castles and other spooky sites to find out the history – or mystery – that lies within.
Recently, though, the team have been busy fundraising for Cash for Kids and Royal Hospital for Children and are appealing for items which can be used in their upcoming charity raffle which will be held on their next scary adventure.
Sam said: “Local businesses have been amazing with donations, places like Off The Top, Dark Sanity Tattoos and Mirror Image Hair have given us tattoo vouchers and beauty vouchers. We’re raffling them all off to raise as much money as we can to give something back.
“We’re doing the raffle on October 16 so we’re trying to reach as many people as we can to raise a decent amount. We’re running a filled bus tour up to Edinburgh to show the darker side of the city. We’re going to do a live broadcast of the raffle from the bus or in Edinburgh.
“Shelley has got a personal connection to the Royal Hospital as her step-daughter was in Yorkhill for a number of years. She received open heart surgery which saved her life.
“It’s helping local kids, too, that may be disadvantaged. We’re going to be holding a number of fundraisers towards the end of the year so it’s an ongoing thing.”
She continued: “We need more donations, whether its a fiver or £100, it doesn’t matter, it’d just be nice to give back that little bit more. Small things like candles, bobbles, anything, would be great.”
