Sanquhar Garden Trail got underway for 2021 recently, with some seriously impressive flowers, bushes and shrubbery on show for passers-by to ogle at.
The Garden Trail took place on Sunday, July 25 and was a socially distanced event which was sponsored by the A’ The Airts, Sanquhar.
Everything went well according to organisers.
A trail map was available from A’ the Airts which helped people follow the route round the village and the day provided a lovely chance for people to view local gardens in all their glory.
It was also a healthy activity for all the family to take part in.
This is the second year that the village has hosted an open garden day and as well as some loyal participants, there were some new contenders that entered the ring.
The photos featured are of Blackaddie House Hotel by Ian and Jane Mc Andrew, Brian and Shirely Johnson at Buccleuch Road, Sanquhar, Andy and Elizabeth Mc Williamson, a scene by Russel and Liz Griggs, David Rushton Garden on St Mary’s Street in Sanquhar and Sue Mclachlan’s creation at Crawick.
Well done to all involved.
